ABOUT HOME
This house retains all of its original character and has not been remodeled in such a way to diminish the character of the house. This house has a high quality of construction and interior details, solid cherry doors, crown molding in every room, French doors, large hallways, and beautiful entryway.

The house sits on a very nice corner lot with a fantastic view of the river from the patio and all North and East facing windows from inside the house. Situated in a neighborhood that has many of Burlington’s most beautiful historic homes, it is within walking distance to downtown, restaurants, schools, parks, churches and the public library.

About North Hill:
The house is in one of the best parts of the North Hill area of Burlington. There are not many places like North Hill anywhere up and down the river. Anyone that I have ever had at this house from out of town feels like they’re in a resort. It is very relaxed, very beautiful and historic. You never tire of walking the North Hill area, it captures the essence of Burlington. You’ll find several people from Chicago, Minneapolis, and other metropolitan areas have purchased homes in North Hill because of the history, beauty and relaxed atmosphere. There is no other neighborhood in Burlington that offers what North Hill offers. From this house, you can walk two blocks and sit or picnic in a park that offers one of the best river views anywhere on the Mississippi. Walking two more blocks gets you to North Hill park and its small playground, or to Martini’s, Burlington’s finest restaurant. Just one more block and you’re at the library. North Hill Elementary school is six blocks, Oak Street Middle school about eight blocks. Even if you’ve lived in Burlington for many years, you’ll feel like you’re in a different place when you move to North Hill. I have lived in the newest, nicest part of Burlington, after moving to North Hill, there is no way I would go back or live anywhere else in Burlington, in fact I only live three blocks away now. It is a unique and very satisfying experience. The combination of unique setting, fantastic views, and great neighbors is unbeatable.
